Rice Lake is very fortunate to be near the crossroads of two major arterial highways. The north-south highway corridor in northwestern Wisconsin is USH 53. USH 53 is a four-lane highway that connects Northwestern Wisconsin with the Interstate system less than an hour south of Rice Lake. USH 8 is the east-west arterial route through northern Wisconsin. There is planning by the DOT for the expansion of USH 8 to a four-lane highway. With these two highways passing next to Rice Lake we have efficient and easy transportation routes to the rest of the region and the USA. State Hwy 48 also passes through Rice Lake connecting to recreational lands east and west of the city.

The Rice Lake Regional Airport facility was completely new in 1995. It hosts a 4000 square foot terminal, executive conference and training room, passenger waiting room and heated hangers.
