Three setback variances were granted to Kohl's
by the city's Zoning Board of Appeals on Monday.
The Milwaukee-based retailer, with over 1,000
stores nationwide, plans to build a 64,000
square foot store on the lot east of Menards. A
building site and operational plan will come
before the city Planning Commission on Thursday
at 5 p.m. at City Hall. Kohl's sought variances
for parking, building and sign setbacks. But a
raised sign will be built, rather than a ground
level sign, which eliminated the need for a sign
setback.
